The filling is great.
I am no cook and I followed the instructions as is and it turned out great.

The dough, it’s not a success for me.
I followed everything including the small pea texture. It still turned out dry. I thought I could salvage by adding more liquid but it was really me in denial.

I couldn’t let the filling go to waste so I ended up following another dough recipe. The recipe had less flour and a bit m more lard.

You can, but it won't be the traditional buko pie. Young coconut has a different texture from macapuno strings.
