I don't have pandan extract but I have pandan leaves. Can I blend the leaves and water and use the pandan Juice instead of extract?

There's no liquid in the recipe po? It's baking in the oven now. I hope it turns out fine. I don't have a mixer so I mixed it by hand.

The ube kalamay takes a bit of elbow grease to come together but it is delicious :) I learned this banana pandan recipe from a friend of mine and it's one of the first recipes I posted on the blog. I just updated it with new photos to give it better justice :) It's a little different because it uses saba bananas instead of regular bananas and it's a bit more on the dense side. Hope you give it a try; it's yummy!

Thank you, Lalaine. I have been a long time silent follower. I can cook but sometimes I need to know the exact amounts. Your website has been a big help and I've also shared it with friends and family. This recipe of pandan-flavored banana bread sounds unique. I will try it as soon as possible. I just made your kalame ube for a party last weekend. It was a hit. I didn't even get to taste it myself.

In reply to Love. Yes, you can regular bananas instead of saba. A loaf pan is deeper so you might have to adjust the cook time. The best way to gauge is to insert a toothpick in the center of the bread; if it comes out clean the bread is done.
