I made buchi today and it came out good, the outside was crispy and soft inside. I added 1/4 cup potato flakes as the dough was breaking when I pinched it. The balls remained round even after an hour of frying. I used deep fryer so I can control the temperature. Thank you!

You can steam it but it won't be buchi and will have a different texture.
