Used the recipe as a base and made some modifications.
The base recipe is spot on! I had to modify cooking times based on the weight of the head.
I decided to use cane vinegar, white pepper, granulated garlic, and powdered trinity (bell pepper, celery, and onion)
It was incredible!

I admit that I was a little unsure of the long and very low roasting but this made shatteringly crisp skin, and moist juicy meat. This is one recipe to save to make again!

I understand you're disappointed with the results, and I know how frustrating it must have been. But you can't blame the recipe if you didn't read the instructions properly. Celcius is not the only measurement used in cooking. I live in the U.S., and we use the Imperial system.

I have a 12 pound pig head. According to your recipe for 5-7 pounds (I am 5 #s over)I should cook it a minimum of 10 hours and 40 minutes. Would you recommend cooking it whole or cut in half? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

And I just bought a big pork head at Walmart. Please help with the right cooking time as the head weighs close to 18 lbs. Appreciate your response!

This turned out really well except for the part about cooking until crunchy. The skin never got crunchy in the oven and I left in too long because I kept waiting for it to be crunchy. After I took it out and let it rest for a few minutes, then it got crunchy but because I left it in too long it was a little burned and too hard. Since it was my first time, some tips on how to carve it would be nice.
