It should last in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. I wouldn't keep it longer than due to food safety. If you want to keep it longer, transfer into airtight containers and freeze.

Then we cut it into cubes and cook it in tomato sauce. Quite a tedious process but definitely worth it. That's why we only make it during special occasions.

Hello Julie,

I am sorry you're having trouble with the recipe. One reason the meatloaf doesn't set is the meat mixture was not dry enough. It should be cooked until all the liquid is completely absorbed or at least drained well. And, yes, you need to cool it to give the loaf time to set.
