I made this for my family. And it was a huge hit. My children's grandfather is very picky and from Puerto Rico. He absolutely loved it and told me it reminded him of his mother cooking it when he was younger. My husband couldn't help but get seconds. It's so filling. Thank you for this recipe. I love my Motherland's cooking and can't wait to cook more from there.

Yes, there are garbanzo beans in the can. You can find them at most grocery stores. You can substitute pork and beans, but I've never tried this with longganiza. I think it would work 🙂
