Filipino desserts are always sweet but for me, I like less sweet. The fruits are already sweet so adding lots of the cream is too much for me. I just use 1 can of cream.

First of all I love your site and your recipes are awesome! Unfortunately I live in an area where there is zero Asian groceries (it’s gotten better but very frustrating having to order online or drive five hours for shrimp paste, lemongrass, and other stuff. When you say “young” coconut does that mean the kind that’s green and not the brown hairy nut? I have access to the brown coconut but not young green coconut except for ones that are just white and kind of squat and cone shaped or pointed at the top? I love coconut so much and I’d love to make this but I don’t know what to use. Any help would be great!
Thanks!

I lost my dearest mother this year 2019, how to cook favorite food was not taught to us but after seeing this helpful website. I feel my mother is with us. Salamat po.
