I'm really looking forward to the day when I will be able to recreate those recipes and learn how to cook them by heart.
I have printed your recipes and have already tried four: Macaroons, Leche flan, bibingkang malagkit, and ube halaya. I got good feedbacks for each,.. yipeey!
Next on the list are the cheese cupcakes and mini eggpies, as you always recommend them to your followers.

I, too, learned a lot of recipes from my mother and I am happy that I can chronicle her special dishes here on my website. I am also glad that I am able to help you recreate special memories. Unfortunately, I don't have a recipe for lengua asado yet but it is definitely on my to-cook/do list. :)

Hi, Ms. Lalaine! Would you happen to have a recipe that uses lengua (beef tongue) for asado? This is one of my mama's best recipes which she usually cook during occasions. We are used to calling it 'asadong dila' though when I describe it to others, it seems that they are not familiar with it. Just a little background, I'm her assistant when she cooks but I've never tried cooking a single dish from scratch until she passed away. I'd like to learn how to cook and recreate her signature dishes. When I happen to browse your site, I find your recipes and techniques almost similar to hers. Thanks in advance!

Lalaine this looks SO good. I have also never actually cooked lengua...ive only enjoyed it in a mushroom sauce at christmas events. It was SO good...i have not had lengua in years. This recipe sounds worth the prep time 😉

In reply to Raymund. It is a little bit more easy to find here in California as it's very common in Mexican cooking. If Asian supermarkets don't have any on a certain week, I go to a Mexican supermarket close to my house. :)

I hope I can find beef tongue here in NZ, its quite hard to find here.
